What this does and does not include
This is the inspection fee — the per-ton amount that goes with the tonnage report. It does not include the licence, product registration or renewal fees, which are fixed amounts per year and are listed on each state page. It also assumes standard fertilizer: some states price lime, phosphatic materials or bulk distribution differently, and those exceptions are noted on the state page.
Where a state does not charge by the ton, or where we have not been able to confirm the rate in an official source, this calculator says so instead of showing a number. That is deliberate.
